This card would benefit a Golgari midrange or control deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing early game board presence and life gain synergy. While Hunt for Specimens is a solid card for its cost, a potentially better alternative could be Bloodchief's Thirst for its flexibility in removal. However, Hunt for Specimens could still see play in a deck focused on generating value from sacrificing creatures or triggering death effects.
