About Hag Hedge-Mage
Hag Hedge-Mage, Creature — hag shaman, designed by Scott Altmann first released in May, 2020 in the set Eventide.
This card, Hag Hedge-Mage, would be beneficial in a Golgari (black-green) deck that focuses on graveyard recursion and hand disruption strategies. While Hag Hedge-Mage offers versatility with its two different abilities, there are potentially more efficient cards for each effect individually, such as Mind Rot for hand disruption and Grapple with the Past for graveyard recursion. Whether Hag Hedge-Mage should see play would depend on the specific synergies and strategies of the deck, as it offers a unique combination of abilities that could be valuable in the right context.
Rules
08/01/08
Each of the triggered abilities has an “intervening ‘if’ clause.” That means (1) the ability won’t trigger at all unless you control two or more lands of the appropriate land type when the Hedge-Mage enters the battlefield, and (2) the ability will do nothing if you don’t control two or more lands of the appropriate land type by the time it resolves.
08/01/08
Each of the triggered abilities look at your lands individually. This means that if you only control two dual-lands of the appropriate types, both of the abilities will trigger.
