About Downpour
Downpour, Instant, designed by Eytan Zana first released in Jul, 2012 in the set Magic 2013.
Downpour would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on tapping down opponent's creatures to prevent them from attacking or blocking effectively. While it can be useful in certain situations, there are better cards like Sleep or Frost Breath that offer more versatility or effectiveness for a similar cost. Downpour may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other options available.
