Down, Down to Goblin-town would fit best in a casual black-based Goblin/Army, Amass, enchantment-synergy, or attrition deck that values incremental effects and can benefit from both hand disruption and a small Army body, but it is generally too slow and low-impact for competitive constructed play: paying three mana for discard that does not happen until your next turn cycle is much worse than **Thoughtseize**, **Inquisition of Kozilek**, or **Duress**, while its Amass 1 and total two life-drain are minor rewards for waiting several turns. If you specifically want an Amass payoff, **Dreadhorde Invasion** is usually better because it costs less and repeatedly grows an Army; if you want Goblin pressure, cards such as **Goblin Rabblemaster** or other efficient Goblin token-makers are stronger; and if you want disruption, the one-mana discard spells are decisively better. It can be enjoyable in Limited, Commander, or a flavorful Lord of the Rings/Goblin deck, especially with Saga or enchant
