This Cunning Advisor card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's hand size and resources. While it can be a useful tool for hand disruption, there are more efficient options like Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek that see more play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks. However, Cunning Advisor could still have a place in a budget or more casual deck where its ability to disrupt the opponent's hand can be valuable.
