Crude Bent Blade would fit best in a black-based midrange, sacrifice, or attrition Commander deck that wants reusable Equipment value while forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures, especially decks that can recur artifacts or benefit from opponents losing creatures; however, at three mana it is fairly inefficient because the opponent chooses what to sacrifice, then you must pay another two mana to equip it for only +2/+1. Better options depend on the goal: **Sheoldred’s Edict**, **Soul Shatter**, **Chainer’s Edict**, or **Fleshbag Marauder** are generally better sacrifice effects, while **Skullclamp**, **Lightning Greaves**, **Swiftfoot Boots**, **Sword of the Animist**, or **Shadowspear** are much stronger Equipment cards. It could be playable in casual Limited-like environments or a very synergy-heavy artifact-recursion Commander deck, but in most constructed formats and typical Commander lists, it should not see play over more efficient removal or more impactful Equipment.
