**Chase Inspiration** is best suited for tempo or aggressive blue-based decks—especially ones that rely on protecting a key creature, such as a Voltron-style threat, a prowess creature, or a creature with strong combat triggers—since it acts as a cheap protection spell that can also swing combat by boosting toughness. It would fit most naturally into Mono-Blue Tempo, Izzet Prowess, or Simic Aggro shells that want to protect a must-answer threat while keeping mana open. However, there are generally stronger options: **Shore Up** is strictly better in most cases (+1/+1 instead of +0/+3 while still granting hexproof), **Slip Out the Back** can permanently protect via a +1/+1 counter and phasing, and **Dive Down** (in formats where legal) provides a larger +0/+3 bonus at the same cost; even **Tamiyo’s Safekeeping** may be preferable in green decks due to hexproof plus indestructible.
