Canyon Lurkers could be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to apply early pressure and surprise opponents with its morph ability. However, there are likely better options available in the same mana cost range that offer more impactful abilities or synergies with the deck's strategy, such as Goblin Chainwhirler or Kari Zev, Skyship Raider. Overall, Canyon Lurkers may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its limited impact compared to other available options.
