About Balthor the Defiled
Balthor the Defiled, Legendary creature — zombie dwarf, designed by Carl Critchlow first released in May, 2002 in the set Judgment and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck focused on black and red creatures, such as a Rakdos or Zombie tribal deck, would benefit from using Balthor the Defiled due to its ability to bring back black and red creature cards from the graveyard. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, Balthor's ability to boost minion creatures and provide a mass graveyard recursion effect makes it a strong choice for decks looking to leverage the graveyard as a resource. It should definitely see play in decks that can take advantage of its abilities.
