A ramp or midrange deck that aims to have a high mana curve and can easily generate a lot of mana would benefit from using Apex Altisaur due to its powerful ability to fight enemy creatures upon entering the battlefield and whenever it is dealt damage. While there are other strong creature removal options in Magic: the Gathering, such as Carnage Tyrant or Questing Beast, Apex Altisaur's ability to repeatedly fight creatures can make it a solid choice in certain metagames where creature-heavy strategies are prevalent. Overall, Apex Altisaur could see play in specific decks that can support its high mana cost and take advantage of its unique abilities.
