About Vorel of the Hull Clade

Vorel of the Hull Clade, Legendary creature — human merfolk, designed by Mike Bierek first released in May, 2013 in the set Dragon's Maze and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It's a key card in 4 combos.

Vorel of the Hull Clade would be a great addition to a deck focused on +1/+1 counters, charge counters, or any other type of counters that can be manipulated for advantage. While Vorel's ability to double counters is powerful, there are other cards like Doubling Season or Pir, Imaginative Rascal that may offer more versatile or efficient ways to achieve similar effects. Vorel could see play in casual or themed decks, but in competitive settings, other cards might be more optimal choices.

Rules

04/15/13

The effect of Vorel’s ability will essentially double the counters on the target artifact, creature, or land. For example, if a creature has three +1/+1 counters and a divinity counter on it before the ability resolves, it will have six +1/+1 counters and two divinity counters on it after the ability resolves.
