About Vine Snare
Vine Snare, Instant, designed by Igor Kieryluk first released in May, 2020 in the set Magic Origins.
A Selesnya or Gruul midrange or aggro deck in Magic: the Gathering would benefit from using Vine Snare to protect against opposing creatures with power 4 or less during combat. However, the card might struggle to find a spot in highly competitive decks as its effectiveness is limited to smaller creatures. Cards like Blossoming Defense or Heroic Intervention may be better options for similar protection in a broader range of scenarios, making Vine Snare less likely to see widespread play in top-tier decks.

Check the power of each creature as it would deal combat damage to determine if that damage is prevented. It doesn’t matter what any creature’s power is as Vine Snare resolves.
