Tainted Aether, Enchantment, designed by Thomas M. Baxa first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's a key card in 1 combos.
A deck that focuses on controlling the board and disrupting your opponent's strategy would benefit from using Tainted Aether, as it can quickly diminish their resources by forcing sacrifices. While Tainted Aether can be effective in certain situations, there are arguably better cards like [[Grave Pact]] or [[Dictate of Erebos]] that offer similar effects with potentially greater impact. Whether Tainted Aether should see play depends on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck, but it can be a strong addition in the right circumstances.
