About Sudden Edict
Sudden Edict, Instant, designed by Ryan Yee first released in May, 2021 in the set Modern Horizons 2 and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
Sudden Edict would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on disrupting the opponent's board state and removing key threats. While it has the advantage of split second, which prevents opponents from responding, there are potentially better options like Diabolic Edict or Liliana's Triumph that offer additional flexibility or value. Sudden Edict could still see play as a situational sideboard card against decks reliant on specific creatures, but its effectiveness may vary depending on the metagame.
