A deck that focuses on playing creatures of a single color, such as mono-green or mono-red, would benefit from using Spreading Plague as it can effectively clear the board of opposing creatures of the same color. However, there are better options like Massacre Wurm or Damnation which offer more versatile board wipes. While Spreading Plague can be situationally powerful, it may not see as much play due to its restrictive nature compared to other options available.
