About Lawmage's Binding
Lawmage's Binding, Enchantment — aura, designed by Mark Behm first released in Jan, 2019 in the set Ravnica Allegiance and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
A control deck focused on disrupting the opponent's strategy would benefit from Lawmage's Binding, as it can neutralize a key creature threat while providing tempo advantage with its flash ability. However, cards like Detention Sphere or Banishing Light offer more versatility by being able to target any nonland permanent, making them potentially better options depending on the deck's needs. Lawmage's Binding could see play in specific metagames where creature-based strategies are prevalent, but its narrow focus may limit its overall utility in more varied environments.
