Font of Vigor would be beneficial in a White-based control or midrange deck that focuses on gaining life to outlast aggressive strategies. However, there are more efficient options like Rest for the Weary which gains 8 life for just 1W, making it a better choice for life gain strategies. Font of Vigor may not see much play in competitive decks due to its relatively high cost compared to other life gain options available in Magic: the Gathering.
