About Flaying Tendrils
Flaying Tendrils, Sorcery, designed by Svetlin Velinov first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card, Flaying Tendrils, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on controlling the board by weakening or removing multiple small creatures at once. Devoid allows it to bypass protection from certain colors, making it versatile in various matchups. While there may be better options like Damnation or Toxic Deluge for more efficient board wipes, Flaying Tendrils can still be a solid inclusion in decks that require specific colorless removal or want to exile creatures rather than sending them to the graveyard. Its ability to exile creatures can also be relevant against graveyard-based strategies.
Rules
01/22/16
Only creatures that are on the battlefield as Flaying Tendrils resolves will get -2/-2. However, any creature that would die that turn will be exiled, even if it wasn’t on the battlefield or wasn’t a creature as Flaying Tendrils resolved.
