About Wild Ricochet
Wild Ricochet, Instant, designed by Dan Murayama Scott first released in Oct, 2007 in the set Lorwyn and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
A deck that focuses on control and disruption would benefit from including Wild Ricochet in its strategy, as it provides a versatile way to redirect and duplicate opponent's spells. While Wild Ricochet is a powerful card in certain situations, there are other cards like Reverberate or Dualcaster Mage that may offer more consistent value in a wider range of scenarios. However, Wild Ricochet can still be a valuable inclusion in decks looking to surprise opponents and create game-changing moments, making it worth considering for play in the right meta.
Rules
07/01/13
If the copy says that it affects “you,” it affects the controller of the copy, not the controller of the original spell. Similarly, if the copy says that it affects an “opponent,” it affects an opponent of the copy’s controller, not an opponent of the original spell’s controller.
07/01/13
If the spell Wild Ricochet copies has an X whose value was determined as it was cast (like Volcanic Geyser does), the copy has the same value of X.
07/01/13
The copy will have the same targets as the spell it’s copying unless you choose new ones. You may change any number of the targets, including all of them or none of them. If, for one of the targets, you can’t choose a new legal target, then it remains unchanged (even if the current target is illegal).
07/01/13
Wild Ricochet can target (and copy) any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets. It doesn’t matter who controls it.
