About Tainted Well
Tainted Well, Enchantment — aura, designed by Val Mayerik first released in Oct, 2000 in the set Invasion.
A deck that focuses on black mana production and benefits from having additional Swamps in play would benefit from using Tainted Well. While it can provide card advantage and fix mana, there are better options like Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth which turns all lands into Swamps, providing a more consistent mana base. Tainted Well may see play in limited formats or casual decks, but in competitive settings, other cards may be more efficient.
