About Suspend Aggression
Suspend Aggression, Instant, designed by Andreas Zafiratos first released in Apr, 2026 in the set Secrets of Strixhaven and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Suspend Aggression would fit best in a proactive, aggressive Boros (red-white) deck that can leverage tempo and doesn’t mind the temporary nature of the exile—such as a low-curve aggro or midrange deck that wants to remove a blocker or planeswalker for a turn cycle while pushing damage, and that can afford the risk of exiling a potentially playable card from its own library; it also has some synergy in exile-matters shells (e.g., with effects that care about casting from exile), but it’s inherently symmetrical and grants the opponent access to their exiled card, which makes it risky and often card-disadvantageous. Compared to efficient, permanent answers like Prismatic Ending, Portable Hole, Oblivion Ring, Fateful Absence, or even Lightning Helix for pure aggression, this card is significantly weaker because it doesn’t permanently answer the threat and can effectively “draw” the opponent a card; unless the format heavily rewards casting from exile or exploiting very short tempo windows
