About Stunning Shot
Stunning Shot, Sorcery, designed by Taurin Clarke first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Marvel Super Heroes Commander.
**Stunning Shot** would fit best in a white-based aggressive or tempo deck—especially one that wants to push combat damage while disrupting blockers, such as White Weenie, Selesnya Counters, or an Azorius tempo shell—because it both permanently grows one of your creatures and temporarily removes (and delays) an opposing blocker, creating a strong swing turn. However, at two mana this effect is somewhat medium in power level; cards like **Luminarch Aspirant** (repeatable counters), **Brave the Elements** (often game‑ending protection), **Ossification** or **Fateful Absence** (true removal), and even **Cathar Commando** or **Hopeful Initiate** generally provide more consistent or impactful value, depending on format. The stun counter adds nice tempo, but because it doesn’t permanently answer a threat and requires you to already have a creature in play, it’s likely below competitive Constructed power level and would mainly see play in Limited or possibly a very synergy-heavy +1/+1 counter
