About Shivan Wumpus
Shivan Wumpus, Creature — beast, designed by Ron Spears first released in May, 2020 in the set Planar Chaos.
A deck that focuses on aggressive strategies and ramping up mana quickly could benefit from using Shivan Wumpus, as it provides a strong creature with trample for its cost. However, there are better options available in the current Magic: the Gathering card pool, such as Inferno Titan or Thundermaw Hellkite, which offer more impactful abilities and stats for a similar mana cost. Shivan Wumpus may not see much play in competitive decks due to its drawback of potentially being returned to the library, making it a risky choice compared to other more reliable options.
Rules
02/01/07
When Shivan Wumpus enters the battlefield, first the active player gets the option to sacrifice a land. If they decline, the next player in turn order gets the option. If a player elects to sacrifice a land, Shivan Wumpus is put on top of its owner’s library, but then all remaining players still get the option. If all players decline, then nothing happens and Shivan Wumpus stays on the battlefield.
