A deck focused on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a Jund Sacrifice or Gruul Aggro deck, would benefit from including Gorger Wurm due to its Devour ability, which can quickly grow it into a formidable threat. However, there are potentially better options like Polukranos, World Eater or Questing Beast that offer more versatility and impact in a wider range of situations, so Gorger Wurm may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
