About Glacial Grasp
Glacial Grasp, Instant, designed by Tomasz Jedruszek first released in Sep, 2020 in the set Zendikar Rising.
A control deck focused on disrupting the opponent's strategy and slowing down their creatures would benefit from including Glacial Grasp in their deck. While Glacial Grasp provides a temporary tap effect and card draw, there are more powerful options like Frost Titan or Frost Lynx that offer similar effects with additional benefits, making them better choices for competitive play. However, Glacial Grasp could still see play in more casual or budget decks looking for a budget-friendly control option.

If the target creature is an illegal target by the time Glacial Grasp tries to resolve, the spell doesn’t resolve. No player mills or draws any cards, and the creature won’t be stopped from untapping. If the target is legal but Glacial Grasp doesn’t tap it (most likely because it’s already tapped), the rest of Glacial Grasp’s effects still happen: that creature won’t untap during its controller’s next untap step, that player mills two cards, and you draw a card.
