Expressive Iteration would be beneficial in a deck that values card selection and flexibility, such as a tempo or control deck in Magic: the Gathering. While it provides card advantage and the potential to play an additional card in a turn, there are other cards like Ponder or Preordain that offer similar effects at a lower cost and with more immediate impact, making them potentially better choices for most decks. However, in the right deck that can take advantage of the exile ability, Expressive Iteration could see play as a versatile and potentially powerful option.
