Collective Drone fits best in a black-based artifact-creature swarm deck, especially an artifact aggro, Affinity-style, or Commander deck that consistently floods the board with cheap artifact creatures; it can become a very efficient attacker for `1B` once several artifacts are in play. Its closest and generally better comparison is `Master of Etherium`, which scales from all artifacts rather than only artifact creatures and also buffs the rest of your artifact creatures, though it requires blue; `Cranial Plating` is often a stronger payoff in aggressive artifact decks because it turns any evasive creature into a lethal threat. Collective Drone is reasonable in Limited, casual decks, or a dedicated artifact-creature Commander build, but it probably should not see competitive Constructed play unless its toughness is also substantial or the format has an unusually strong density of cheap artifact creatures, since it is weak on an empty board and lacks evasion, protection, or an immediat
