Afterlife, Instant, designed by Pete Venters first released in May, 2020 in the set Mirage and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
This card, Afterlife, would be a valuable addition to a white-based control or midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing removal for a threatening creature while also generating a flying Spirit token for added board presence. While it is a solid card, there are potentially better options like Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares that offer more efficient removal at the same mana cost. However, Afterlife could still see play in certain decks looking to capitalize on the token generation aspect or in formats where specific types of removal are limited.
