Diese Karte, Past in Flames, würde Decks nutzen, die sich darauf konzentrieren, eine hohe Anzahl von Sofort- und Hexerei-Zaubern aus dem Friedhof zu wirken, wie zum Beispiel Sturm- oder Zauberdecks in Magic: The Gathering. Während es eine starke Karte für diese Strategien ist, ziehen es einige Spieler möglicherweise vor, Karten wie Yawgmoths Wille oder Unterweltbruch für ähnliche Effekte zu verwenden, abhängig von den spezifischen Anforderungen ihres Decks. Insgesamt ist Past in Flames eine starke Wahl für Decks, die den Wert ihrer Friedhofsressourcen maximieren möchten und kann definitiv in einem passenden Deck gespielt werden.
