Thorn-Thrash Viashino would benefit a deck focused on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a Jund Sacrifice or Rakdos Aggro deck in Magic: The Gathering. While it provides a strong presence with its Devour ability and trample, there are potentially better options like Korvold, Fae-Cursed King or Judith, the Scourge Diva that offer more versatile abilities and synergies in those decks. However, Thorn-Thrash Viashino could still see play in more budget or casual decks looking for a solid aggressive creature.

You may choose not to sacrifice any creatures for the Devour ability.

You may sacrifice only creatures that are already on the battlefield. If a creature with devour and another creature are entering the battlefield under your control at the same time, the creature with devour can’t devour that other creature. The creature with devour also can’t devour itself.
