While it can be a powerful finisher if the tribute is not paid, there are potentially better options like Stormbreath Dragon or Thundermaw Hellkite that offer more immediate impact and evasion. However, Pharagax Giant could still see play in certain metagames or strategies that benefit from its unique ability to punish opponents for not paying tribute.
