A control or tempo deck that focuses on drawing cards and mana efficiency would benefit from using Lonely Sandbar. While there are better options like Flooded Strand or Polluted Delta for fetching specific lands, Lonely Sandbar can provide additional card draw and mana fixing in a pinch. It may not see play in every deck, but it can be a solid inclusion in the right strategy.

Cycling is an activated ability. Effects that interact with activated abilities (such as Stifle or Rings of Brighthearth) will interact with cycling. Effects that interact with spells (such as Remove Soul or Faerie Tauntings) will not.
