While it can provide the necessary mana fixing for those colors, there are better options like Steam Vents or Sulfur Falls which enter untapped under certain conditions, making them more efficient choices. However, if mana fixing is crucial and those cards are not available, Highland Lake could still see play in a budget or casual deck.
