Eclipsed Realms would be most at home in a tribal deck built around one of the listed creature types—especially decks that are heavily creature-focused and want high creature density, such as Elves (combo or go-wide builds), Merfolk (tempo), Goblins (aggro), Faeries (flash tempo), or Elementals (value-based builds), since it effectively functions as a tribal-filtering land similar to **Secluded Courtyard** or **Unclaimed Territory**. It’s strongest in formats where tribal synergy is paramount and color requirements are tight, like Modern, Pioneer, or Commander tribal builds. However, it is generally outclassed by **Cavern of Souls**, which not only fixes mana for a chosen creature type but also makes those creatures uncounterable—an enormous upside in competitive environments. Compared to **Secluded Courtyard** and **Unclaimed Territory**, it is functionally similar, so whether it sees play depends on redundancy needs; in tribal decks that want multiple copies of this effect, it’s play
