A deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly and efficiently, such as a green ramp deck, would benefit from using Collective Voyage as it allows all players to contribute mana for a collective benefit of searching for basic lands. However, a better alternative might be cards like Skyshroud Claim or Explosive Vegetation, which provide a similar effect without relying on opponents' contributions, making them more consistent options for ramp strategies. Collective Voyage could see play in more casual or group-focused formats where the political aspect of the card adds an extra layer of fun and interaction.
