A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures or has a lot of creatures dying regularly, like a sacrifice or aristocrats deck, would benefit from using Soul Net in Magic: the Gathering. While Soul Net can provide incremental life gain, there are more efficient cards like Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat that offer additional benefits when creatures die, making them better choices in most cases. However, Soul Net could see play in casual or budget decks where its simplicity and low cost make it a viable option for gaining life.
