Escape Velocity can be a valuable addition to a red aggressive deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a boost in power and haste to an enchanted creature. While it offers the flexibility of being cast from the graveyard with its escape ability, there are potentially better options like Lightning Bolt or other efficient removal spells that may have a more immediate impact on the game. However, Escape Velocity could still see play in decks looking to maintain a fast and aggressive strategy with recurring threats.

After an escaped spell resolves, it returns to its owner’s graveyard if it’s not a permanent spell. If it is a permanent spell, it enters the battlefield and will return to its owner’s graveyard if it dies later. Perhaps it will escape again—good underworld security is so hard to come by these days.
