Metallic Mimic is a fantastic addition to tribal decks, particularly those focusing on a specific creature type, as it provides a consistent boost to all creatures of that type. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, Metallic Mimic's versatility and ability to immediately impact the board make it a strong contender for inclusion in tribal strategies, especially in formats where +1/+1 counters can make a significant difference in combat.

The choice of creature type is made as Metallic Mimic enters the battlefield. Players can’t respond to this choice. Metallic Mimic’s second ability starts applying immediately.
