A Laboratory Maniac is best suited for a combo deck that focuses on drawing and cycling through cards quickly to reach the win condition of an empty library. Decks that utilize cards like Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact to exile their library and trigger the win condition with Laboratory Maniac are particularly effective. While there are other win conditions available in Magic: the Gathering, Laboratory Maniac can be a powerful and unique option in the right deck.
