**Immortal Phoenix** fits best in a spell-heavy aggressive or midrange “spellslinger” deck that frequently kills enemy units with direct-damage or removal spells, since its recursion ability turns every spell-kill into potential board presence and sustained pressure. Decks that generate extra :rb_energy: or reliably access :rb_rune_fury: benefit most, as they can repeatedly bring it back and leverage its **Assault 2** to push damage efficiently on offense. It’s especially strong in metagames with lots of small-to-mid units that are easily picked off by spells, letting you maintain tempo and card advantage from the trash. However, if your deck doesn’t consistently kill units with spells, it becomes an overcosted 3-drop with conditional value.
