A control or combo deck that can protect itself from attacks and take advantage of the card draw and mana ramp provided by Coveted Jewel would benefit most from using this card. While Coveted Jewel offers significant card advantage and mana acceleration, its downside of potentially being stolen by an opponent makes it a risky inclusion in competitive decks. Other cards like Gilded Lotus or Thran Dynamo may provide similar benefits without the drawback of being stolen, making them potentially better options for most decks.
