Bala Ged Thief would be a valuable addition to a black-based Ally tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides targeted hand disruption and synergizes well with other Ally creatures. While there may be more efficient hand disruption cards available, such as Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek, Bala Ged Thief's ability to trigger off other Ally creatures entering the battlefield could make it a viable option in the right deck. Its playability would largely depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck in question.
